Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data we receive through this website, what we do with it and what rights you have. It follows the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).

What data we receive

We only receive the data you choose to send us:

  • Through the contact form: your name, what you are interested in, your message and, if you ask us to reply by phone or email, your number or address. The form does not send anything by itself. It opens WhatsApp or your email app with the message written, and we receive it only when you send it.
  • Through a booking request sent by email from a holiday rental page: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, your dates, the number of adults and children, and your message.
  • Through the online check-in form, before a holiday stay: each guest's name, identity document, nationality, date of birth and arrival date, which we need for the guest registration required in Spain.
  • When you call, email or write on WhatsApp: your number or address and whatever you tell us.
  • When you book a stay, buy, sell, let or renovate with us: the details we need to do that, which we will explain at the time.

We do not run analytics or advertising on this website. If we add an analytics tool, it will only load after you accept it, and it will be listed in the cookie policy first.

Why we use it, and on what basis

  • To answer your enquiry and take the steps you ask for before any contract, such as a viewing, a valuation or a quote (GDPR article 6.1.b).
  • To carry out a contract with you, such as a booking, a sale, a rental or a renovation (article 6.1.b).
  • To meet the legal obligations of the business, such as tax and accounting rules (article 6.1.c).
  • To send you news or offers, only if you have asked for them, and you can stop at any time (article 6.1.a).

How long we keep it

We keep an enquiry for as long as we need to answer it and follow it up. Data linked to a contract is kept for as long as the contract lasts and then for the periods the law requires.

Who else sees it

We do not sell your data. It reaches others only where needed to provide the service:

  • WhatsApp, if you choose to write to us there.
  • The companies that host this website and our email. Booking requests from the rental pages are sent through our own email server, with no other email service in between.
  • Google, which runs the online check-in form (Google Forms). What you enter there is stored by Google for us, under the Google Privacy Policy. Your browser only contacts Google when you open the form or choose to show it on our check-in page.
  • Notaries, banks, lawyers, the land registry or the tax authorities, when a purchase, sale or rental requires it and you have asked us to act.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the safeguards the GDPR requires.

Our rating on Google is read from Google Maps. Your use of that information is subject to the Google Maps Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Your browser does not contact Google for it.

Your rights

You can ask to see your data, correct it, delete it, limit or object to how we use it, take a copy with you, and withdraw any consent you have given. Write to info@grupotorremar.com. We may ask you to confirm who you are.

If you think we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) at aepd.es.
